is a small & indiependent music label based in Biel/Bienne Switzerland. It's aim is to bring Chinese and Swiss underground Music closer together by combining them and bring them into a new context. It is focussed on young and fresh Post Punk, Wave, synth pop and whatever weird is around that. Fiasko ltd. is about releasing music, organising concerts and tours and building a platform to make music visible.

Parker Leftlover a duet like a bag full of joy & tears. Nikita and Jonas play songs about seduction and pain, about love and solitude, personal and universal at the same time. A refreshing and unheard mixture of triphop drums, dreamy 80ies synths and lofi vibes.
Available for bookings
Penkowski the tripple agent. A paranoid state of mind which reflects the absurdity of our times. The quintet from Biel/Bienne with the hysterical voice preaches about a world that is falling apart and puts everyone under its spell with their unique mixture of cutting guitars, stoic grooves and percussive elements. Their music stands for an obscure, wild and irresistible kind of New Wave that is both dark and dancy.

Walter Frosch is a duo from Schaffhausen, playing dreamy and catchy synth-pop. Their first album was highly acclaimed and also their most recent LP „Under A Spell“ was sold out in a minute. Their reverb loaded songs reminds of the post-punk era but sound so convincing and independent that there’s no need for the label "retro". Chain smoker Walter Frosch (the footballer after which the Band is named) would have had his trouble not to get out of breath because of the danceability of these pieces.
Available for bookings
Moictani is Tania Praz from Vevey. Accompanied on stage by a bass player, her exploration takes the listener into a solar pop universe. Carried by mostly spanish lyrics, this "bedroom pop" project experiments with musical styles and genres, infusing them with it's own sweetness and energy.

Urban noise, has been a constant in the life of Alpine Decline. They sought it in their initial move to Beijing, just outside the city’s fifth-ring road sitting in the ambient grit and smoke created by the city’s never-ending 21st century economic boom. The Guitar & Drums duo between Beijing and Los Angeles touches with it's sound a nostalgic sweet spot for fans of psych, shoegaze, noise rock and ‘90s indie. Joined on the Bass by Yang Haisong (PK14) the band’s work is grounded in an intensely personal digestion of the swirling cultural malaise of the day, dueling themes of lies, love and trust, but always uplifted by a romantic, desperate mission to shape beauty from the chaotic noise around them.
Post-Punk trio from Beijing. They incorporate fast drums, muddy basslines and rough guitar noise in a pursuit to create a violent and raw sound. Their gigs are some of the best and most body-moving experiences you might have in dark chinese backyard-basements. Dirty and wild: the sound of beijings underground.
法兹/FAZI's music draws on the minimal rhythms of Krautrock and the abrasive rituals of Post-Punk. On stage, they're like a perpetual motion machine, churning out music that hits their audience in the heart and in the lungs, communicating a vibe that's lonely yet forbearing, simply and powerfully reaching straight to the heart.
In a hushed space designed for bookshelves and youngsters cramming for exams, one of China's best Post-Punk bands made some serious noise.
Mesmerizing Trio from Bern. Twisted drum-action over fusion Guitars and wierd synths. Rea's voice searches the known and unknown spaces of singing.
Superflux Vibe vs. Bubblegum Drone
Film 2 comes out of the enchanting and sometimes grey valleys of Luzern where the Trio grew up and even went to school together. At their concerts a massive riot soundwall is taking it's space and entwines with the sweet melancholia of modern day lovestories. Affection is pain.
dark & sensual Krautrock
Panic Worm is a Wuhan based Noise Rock / Punk band which is raised out of the complex of a Chinese Mega-City. Their music is clearly influenced by english Punk and Wave from the 80s. The distinctive Voice and the sheer energy makes them an anker in todays soundscape of China.
PAKS is a trio from Basel, more accurate Kleinbasel: a district where abandoned sofas meet unemployed construction sites.
"nincsen semmi" - There is nothing - in Paks, the small town in Hungary from which the band borrowed their name, only one huge nuclear power station. A momentum of abdurdity, stupid force and probably a nuclear disaster is near of it... The band sings in German, Hungarian and English and you will probably find yourself dancing to it and ask yourself how you'd got there.
The great "Walter Frosch & Alpine Decline" Split Single is now available on 7" Vinyl. Handmade in Switzerland by Grand Voyage and strictly limited to 30 copies!
Send me an E-mail to Contact@fiasko.ltd to get your copy
The third split single combines two groups of a newer kind: duos that overcame the need of a member for every instrument, collaborative music projects adding whatever sound it needs for a production.
On "Digital Glow" Walter Frosch explores with a dark but glowing tune the coldness of digital screens. The feeling of losing oneself in the depths of our screens connects here with losing oneself on the dancefloor of a lonesome club-night. A wonderful unheard new sound of these promising swiss musicians.
Alpine Decline plays a more intimate and close-to-the-listener sound. "You Kid Yourself" catches immediately with oscillating Guitars, a grooving but very melodious Bass, swinging Drums and the direct and emotional Vocals that seem to realize while running "You can not escape a new reality".
«Walter Frosch & Alpine Decline» Split single will be out on Fiasko ltd. the 2nd of December!

In the third Album of Penkowski the amusement park and its attraction act as an image of our world. The opener "Liberal" starts distorted and pushy. Lyrics written by AI whip the listener trough the beginning of an album that, later more personally, shows the new turn of the band towards a sound that is driven by funky oscillating Bass-riffs, machinelike drums, razor sharp guitarlicks and the sometimes preaching, sometimes crooning voice. Songs in which the facade becomes reality and supposedly infinite possibilities expose our own solitude. The intransparent and hallucinatory imagery of the beautiful artwork by painter Daniel Schoch expands the unconventional sound of the band.
Final Destination Disneyland the 3rd LP of Penkowski the New Wave/No Wave quintet from Biel/Bienne will be out the 5th November. The video to the song "Butterfly" is out now already!
"everything is so depressing" - a colourful videoclip that reflects the absurd mood and lyrics of the song. It puts the singer on a hilarious journey from his successful but oh so depressing office to the butterfly utopia he is dreaming of ever since he read in the magazine.

I mixed some favourites of the chinese and swiss scene on this playlist. i will add new ones from time to time and keep them curated. Listen to it in row or randomly and feel free to share!
In 2014 i first visited the city of Shanghai. I immediatly felt like in a science fiction dream of Stanislaw Lem and soaked up everything i could of the city. The feeling i had when i first stood on a 500m skyscraper was, that the city seems to be strangely calm and not moving. All the life that happens in this vibrant city is from the most modern perspective just a calm sea of houses. I tried to capture this feeling in this Musicvideo for FAZI's "Night Walk".

FAK005 "PAKSHOTEL" OUT NOW!
The second Album of PAKS is available now on double Vinyl and all streaming Platforms.
PAKSHOTEL is an almost forgotten location on the extreme edge of the Balkans, where the people of PAKS had settled for a short time. A few guests came and went, the hotel cat sniffed the windowsill, and suddenly PAKSHOTEL was dissolved into mere sound, smell and rumor. A short fleeting episode, wistfully preserved in grooves, whispers and moans in a flat cardboard box. PAKSHOTEL doesn't exist anymore, and yet almost everyone is welcome to live there. Excerpts from the guestbook:
„I'd probably come back here again and again most of the time."
„This double album will change your life like […] almost no other double […] thingy in the world.“
„sounding like an old blanket, like rotten silk. Perfect. A crooner in a swimming pool. I really can't chose any of the tracks in particular, they're all different and they're all good as well.“
„What you think of HOLLIDAYS IN TCHERNYBOL ?“

It would have been a long time dream for us to play a Tour in China. After almost half a year of planning, organizing and dreaming with the great support our friends over at Maybe Mars we finally have to cancel this great plan.
The Tour would have been set from Beijing to the North-Corean border, southwards trough the east-coast Cities of Jiangsu and Zhejiang. From Shanghai we would have travelled against the Yangtse over Changsha and Wuhan until we would have reached Chongqing and Chengdu. 12 gigs in 14 days of touring with our great friends of Lonely Leary, FAZI / 法兹乐队 and Backspace.
Sadly due to the momentary situation of not being able to travel freely we had to cancel our Concerts but anyway the tour will now be played by our chinese soulmates. We will join you in 2021 in real on stage and for now send Love, grateful thanks and lots of power for the longlasting night now to come to you...
